We are a public quoted company and the leading flexible packaging manufacturer in Sri Lanka, providing quality flexible packaging solutions for a period spanning over 60 years. Our continuous efforts to enhance our standards have resulted in the Company achieving the ISO certification since year 2000 and today we are an ISO: 9001-2008 & ISO 22000 : 2005 certified company.

Established in the year 1949 purely to manufacture rolled Aluminum Foil mainly for the tea industry, today we have the capability of supplying printed flexible packaging material using Roto Gravure and Flexo graphic printing technologies for various forms of laminates with foil, film and paper. The annual turnover at Acme Printing & Packaging PLC ( Piliyandala factory ) is around US $ 5.5 million (approximately 1000 tons).

We have setup a fully owned subsidiary named Acme Packaging Solutions (Private) Ltd at Makandura Industrial Estate Pannala in Sri Lanka. This factory is equipped with state of the art machinery capable of manufacturing mainly film based flexible packaging material.

We have a state of the art laboratory with testing facilities to check raw materials and products at each stage of manufacture to ensure quality. Our customers include some of the largest companies operating in Sri Lanka such as GlaxoSmithKline, Ceylon Tea Services (Dilmah), Uni Lever, CBL Group, Fonterra Brands, Maliban Biscuits and Maliban Milk to name a few.

We supply packaging materials in the form of printed/laminated reels, pouches, sheets and lids converted out of Aluminum Foil, BOPP, LLDPE, Nylon, Polyester and Paper for the packaging of a wide range of products such as Confectionery, Milk Powder, Biscuits, Chocolates, Snacks, Drinks/Beverages, Tea, Noodles, Soya Nuggets, Processed Meat Products, Detergent Powders, Agro Chemicals, Cigarette Foil as well as the Garment industry etc. We are specialized in handling Pharmaceutical Blister Foil. Presently we export our Pharmaceutical products to Glaxosmithkline Pakistan and unprinted materials for fire resistance Adhesive tapes manufacturer in Australia.

Mr.Hemaka Amarasuriya was the former Chairman of the Singer Group of Companies in Sri Lanka and of NDB Bank, and a former Senior Vice President of Singer Asia Limited. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, U.K. He also holds an Honorary Fellowship from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, U.K. and a Diploma in Marketing Strategy from the University of New York. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Accountants and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. His wide experience in the field of marketing has been recognized with many awards received both in Sri Lanka and abroad. He also has an abundance of experience in the industrial arena having chaired the Regional Industrial Service Committee Southern Province of the Ministry of Industrial Development which manages industrial parks outside the BOI for many years. He is on the Directorate of other listed companies and non-listed companies.


Dr. J.M. Swaminathan holds LLB (Ceylon), LLM, M. Phil. (Colombo) and LLD (Honoris Causa) Degrees and is an Attorney-at-Law. He has been in the legal profession for over 54 years. He is a Partner, and immediate Former Precedent Senior Partner of Messrs Julius & Creasy and is a Member of the Law Commission of Sri Lanka and Former Member of the Council of Legal Education. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Studies of the Council of Legal Education. He is the Chairman of the Intellectual Property Law Advisory Commission, and a member of Company Law Advisory Commission. He also served as a member of the committee to formulate a National Policy on Intellectual Property Law and is also on the Committee to formulate Policy on Traditional knowledge and traditional cultural expression. At present he also serves on the committee to revise the laws relating to winding up regulations under the Companies Act. He is also a Member of the Law Commission of Sri Lanka and a Member of the Council of the University of Colombo. He is a member of the Standing Committee on Legal Studies of the University Grants Commission and a Consultant to the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies. He has also served as a member of the Visiting Faculty of the LLM Course in the University of Colombo and also a Member of the Financial Systems Stability Consultative Committee of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. He is also the President APAA (Sri Lanka), SAARC Law Sri Lanka and the Business Recoveries and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Sri Lanka (BRIPASL). He also serves on the Boards of several public and private companies.


Former Senior Partner of Messrs KPMG, Chartered Accountants. Graduated from the University of London, majoring in Botany and Zoology. Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. He is also presently on the Board of several quoted and unquoted companies


Mr. Paras Chandaria is a graduate from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has over 25 years international business experience, having worked in Africa, Europe, Americas and Asia and is currently based in London. He has deep and diverse experience starting up, building, turning around, managing and guiding multiple global and regional businesses across different industry verticals. He is currently in a business leadership role at Mainetti Group (largest garment hanger manufacturer - global), Cyklop Group (packaging business - global), Metecno Group (insulated panel producer - global), ImagiNation (edutainment - India). He is also the Executive Chairman of UST Global, a leading global digital technology services business committed to touching 3 billion lives through digital solutions and technologies. In addition to his business and social commitments, he spends time on various CSR projects tackling the root causes of issues such as exploitation of children, medical health, and education of girls in India.


He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK (FCMA) and a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, UK (FCCA). He is presently the Non-Executive Chairman of Finlays Colombo PLC, and a director of several listed and non-listed companies incorporated in Sri Lanka.


Mr. Sanjeev Kumar has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and Diplomas in Foreign Trade and Business Administration. He has over 42 years of experience across spectrum of industries and countries, encompassing power generation and distribution equipment, auto components, aluminium extrusions and architectural facades, building material, packaging, plastic injection moulding and pipe extrusion, building, envelopes, insulated panels and edutainment based theme parks. He has held leadership positions across different companies around the globe – from CEO of Emtelle Group, headquartered in the UK to Managing Director of A-D Technologies Asia and Africa, Regional Head of Mainetti Group. He has been instrumental in expanding business across product groups and regions, setting up green field companies, joint ventures and global alliances. He has successfully lead cross cultural teams in executing major projects in India, South East Asia, Middle East and Africa. Mr. Sanjeev Kumar is currently the Regional Head of Metecno Group Asia, and the CEO of Imagination Edutainment India Pvt. Limited. He is also on the boards of several companies as Independent Director.


Mr. Gotabaya Dasanayaka an Attorney at Law by profession, worked for the International Labour Organization (ILO) as the Senior Specialist, Employers Activities for the South Asian Region from 2007 to February 2015. Prior to joining the ILO he worked with the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC) from 1979 and was the Director-General / CEO from 2000 to 2006. While at the EFC he specialized in Employment Law and Relations and had firsthand experience in dealing with key stakeholders on major labour issues, at operational and policy level. Since his retirement from the ILO he provides consultancy service in Employment Law and Employee Relations.


He holds a Degree in Economics from the Stanford University in USA. He is based in Singapore and is a Director of several companies in Asia.
